well, I used the rootstock program to create a rootfs and got it to boot on the zipit with 2.6.29 kernel, but it freezes after about a minute or so |

yup the page says rootstock in lucid is broken. might not be it but might be an initial problem. but what you are describing sounds liek a problem with the bootscripts |
