[04:33:42] <dTal> You want a miniSD, or a microSD with a miniSD adapter. SDHC just means it's big.

[14:17:23] <LokiChaos> it handels multiple attachments better, it's a client/server model that saves some memory if you have more than one session running
[14:18:14] <LokiChaos> with screen if I left it attached on my desktop I was locked into that size, so my Z2 had issues with seeing everything

[14:20:40] <dTal> that's an application level thing, that curses should handle
[14:21:01] <dTal> and in my experience apps that do it work fine in screen
[14:21:12] <dTal> and screen is client-server as well
[14:22:20] <dTal> I'm not attacking you or anything, or defending screen, but so far they look basically the same to me except for defaults
[14:22:59] <LokiChaos> I had issues with tintin++ and tmux seems to handle it better, that said I have changed the bindings to be like screen

[17:59:04] <rkdavis> dTal: i'd really hate to use gcc on the zipit, yes it has the specs of a 1994 pc but not the harddisk so swapping would be a pig but distcc will probably solve most of that

[21:58:58] <vodnik> rkdavis this battery has about 50% of the capacity that your battery pack has, it's pretty cheap and you can plug it straight into the zipit. i'm not sure if it fits in the battery compartment, though. what about running two of those (or more) in parralell?
[22:00:12] <vodnik> although it's 'prolly not designed for that, so i wouldn't try connecting two of them. lithium-ion cells are a little quirky when it comes to that.
[22:01:48] <vodnik> anyway, i'm about to go buy a minisd card for my new zipit in a few hours. where should i pull my distro off of? i think you guys gave me a link about a month ago (when my broken zipit arrived) but i've lost it now.
