[12:43:06] <FiftyOneFifty> Just for future reference, I had no luck replacing my broken AC adapter plug (knocked the ZipIt off the desk). Closest thing Radio Shack had was a universal plug socket and "Adaptaplug A" #273-17042.3mm OD 0.7mm ID. It doesn't fit tight, I think the ID is too big. I get the OpenZipIt logo and no further, I'm guesing not enough current for the SD. I ordered a new AC adapter from ZipItWireless ($20 shipping included). Unless I messed up, my multimeter

[12:45:22] <dTal> The chip itself is tiny. There's some ancillary stuff like resistors and capacitors that stick up.
[12:46:28] <dTal> I think if you bought a long thin one instead of the flat wide one that I have, you could squeeze it in the space to the side of the battery.
[12:47:20] <dTal> Especially if you desoldered some of the tall components and moved them elsewhere.

[13:07:44] <FiftyOneFifty> Yesterday I saw a car adapter on clearance ($9) that might be ZipIt compatible (no idea if clearnce sales are universal accross all Wal-Marts). Looks like same power plug, it hangs out of the packaging so I could take my ZipIt and test the fit. One of the phones on the list (Motorola V180) has a USB charger, so that would put the voltage at 5v. Haven't been able to find charging amps on a Motorola phone yet.

[16:13:57] <FiftyOneFifty> Again for the record, forget what I said about Radio Shack PN 273-1704 not working. I must have messed up my RootNexus userland so it wouldn't load. I had Aliosa27's on another card and it booted right up. The evening i broke the AC adapter plug, I also installed Midori and Abiword. I had Abiword on an RC1, so I don't think that did it. Midori asked to create config files that were not present, i probably should not have let it do so.
