did I tell you I got the libertas driver to probe? unfortunately it erors out during the probe, but at least it is getting a bit farther. I'm trying to verify the hardware connections. then I'll be able to debug a bit more. |

not really, I really want to be independant of zipit for my info. I didn't and won't sign their nda to get "restricted info". I basically decoded all the neccessary info for the Z1 myself. I'll do it for the Z2 as well. |

like the wireless driver. they won't (can't) release its source because of their license with Marvell, but the dirver signs itself as GPL. which is incorrect, just to shut the kernel up form complaining about being "tainted". |

it was the same with the Z1's wireless driver. It took a loooong time to come up with a gpl'd replacement, even then there were questions about re-distributing the binary firmware. so the Z1 is basically stuck at the original kernel version. |
