drmikecrowe_: got a question/request. I've been trying to build a bit-identical blob (bootloader) and have been having problems. I can get the first stage bit-for-bit identical, but the second stage is quite a bit different. I was wondering if I could get a tarball of the build dir that your folks used to build it. Including all the .o's etc. I may be having compiler/linker problems, and the .o's would sure help. |

drmikecrowe: the first stage bootloader is all assembly lang. it includes the very low level init routines for the PXA270, as well as the ram test and relocation routines. once the second stage bootloader is relocated from flash to working ram, it is jumpped to, at which point a small assembly lang routine is executed followed by clearing the bss and the jump to main.c at which point the bootloader is up and processing commands. Autoboot then happens. |

autoboot waits for a command, and if it fails to get one, the kernel is loaded from flash (along with the built-in initrmfs) the kernel is then executed. |
