Hi, just wondering, how active is this project? (stupid question probably) |
| [19:54:51] |
<bryan_w> |
I'm thinking about getting one in the next couple of weeks |
| [20:12:00] |
<drmikecrowe> |
bryan_w: it goes in waves. you see weeks of good activity, then lulls. there's a lot of background work that's been done, though |
| [20:15:35] |
<bryan_w> |
hmm, that's cool. I'm just glad it's not completely dead |
| [20:16:06] |
<drmikecrowe> |
No, I've been very pleased with how it goes (I work for Zipit) |
| [20:17:48] |
<bryan_w> |
The last two devices I bought for wireless communication are....pretty much dead in the US (the cybiko, and the zaurus) |
| [20:18:09] |
<bryan_w> |
not so much the zaurus but the cybiko is long gone |
| [20:18:38] |
<bryan_w> |
I dont want to get burned again |
| [20:19:27] |
<drmikecrowe> |
The really cool thing about how we implemented is totally on the sd card. Remove it after playing around, and it reverts back to full functionality |
| [20:20:38] |
<bryan_w> |
Which is cool. I'm looking forward to having a portable ssh client for work but then being able to use the standard software too |
| [20:21:04] |
<drmikecrowe> |
yeah, I've been meaning to put that on an sd card. I actually needed it last week. |

Is gspi the preferred wireless driver to use? |
