No Go

Call me lame. Perl script populated and formated the mini sd. Got this;

e2fsck 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006) fsck.ext3: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/sda2

ERROR: mount: you must specify the filesystem type Something wrong with your SD card???

Tried about 5 or 6 times. Plugged card in and it did nothing. Ran cfdisk and made partition bootable. Still nothing. When I got zipit2 I let it do a update? System is a version 2.6.18-6-686 (Debian 2.6.18.dfsg.1-18etch6) with a generic "All In 1" card reader and a Sand Disk 2 GB sd.

Any help would be very appreciated.

    Gazoo,

    PLEASE make sure you look a that script before running it. IIRC, that script requires you to edit it and replace /dev/sda* with the device for your mounted SD card in linux. You could wipe out your current system if you aren't careful.

    So, if you insert your card, your system might mount /dev/sdf1 as /mnt/SOMETHING. In this case, you would replace sda* with sdf*, see?

    The danger of this script is it needs for you to tell it what to reformat and repartition. Please be very careful.

      Thank you very much for a reply. Yes, I did read the script and changed it to the proper device. The results as illustrated above. I thought maybe it was because I had let it do a update or that its a 2 GB SD or ???

      Thanks again.
