openembedded (#1) - OpenEmbedded boot hangs (#8) - Message List
I installed the r59 image of OE on a working SD card according to the instructions provided. The Z2 boots and displays the following:
Adding tty devices to /dev..... Loading Wireless Driver Taking Root...
Please wait: booting...
And there it stops. The only way I know to reset or shut off the device at this point is to pull out the battery. Is there something more I need to do?
When this happens, is there something I can do to reset or turn off the device without pulling the battery?

It takes two or three minutes to boot (at least the first time). Try waiting on it.

Strange, nothing should be changed in SVN that's important since I've used it. Try replacing the base-image-zipit2.tar with an older one I have.

That works! Now that I have a command line, what can I do (:-)?

Cool. Well, you'll probably want follow some more of the wiki and build the wireless packages to do anything useful. Not much is on the base image, it's just there to help speed things along. From there you'll have SSH and SCP access. After that's set up, you'll want to try the X packages.
Something must have been wrong with my build environment with the r59 build I did yesterday. That is the only thing I can think of. I'll correct that tonight.

Also, there's a reset pinhole button on the left side of the Z2. I'm not sure why it's hanging yet, I'll have to look at it later tonight.

I am having the same problem. I can't download http://clemsonlinux.org/~rossimo/Angstrom-base-image-glibc-ipk-2008.1-test-20080225-zipit2.rootfs.tar though, as the site seems to be DOWN! Please, please help.
