Anyone interested in helping a newbie?

Hello all. I am pretty much a newbie to all this, I am not a developer, but am working on a project that the Z2 may be perfect for. I have some basic questions and was wondering if anyone was interested in helping out. I am attempting to get a GUI up and running on the Z2 and having a difficult time. I was able to Flash an SD card without issue but am not sure where to go from here. My first Question would be is The device boots off the SD to a login prompt, I attempted root but was unable to login, anyone know what the credentials would be? Does the base image have any type of GUI or just command line?

    I think the base image login is "root" and no password. Also, the base-image does not have any sort of GUI. If you like to play around with something that does, try http://clemsonlinux.org/~rossimo/oe-zipit2-image-compressed.tar .

      This may be a dump question. I'm running "oe-zipit2-image-compressed.tar" as above. What is the root password? i've tried no password and a few other combinations.

        Yea it was a dumb question. It is "zipit".
